Alain Latry

President and Chief Executive Officer

Alain Latry is CEO and Founder of Technomedia. In this role, he steers the company’s strategic direction, which is strongly influenced by expressed customer needs. Latry continually draws upon his three-fold expertise as an entrepreneur, manager and educator to guide Technomedia’s development and evolution as well as to establish beneficial partnerships.

At inception, Technomedia’s goal was for Latry to leverage his expertise to develop and commercialize one of the first web applications to manage competencies and training for the largest Canadian enterprises. Additionally, in 2009, he established a new financial partnership with Novacap, one of Canada’s leading private equity firms. In 2011, Latry was instrumental in finalizing the acquisition of Hodes iQ, the talent acquisition solution and operating unit from Bernard Hodes Group, part of Omnicom Group Inc. The combined portfolio enhances Technomedia’s position as a leading provider of Talent Management suite solutions.

Prior to founding Technomedia, Latry worked as a professor in the field of industrial automation before creating his first company, Famic Inc., a company specializing in industrial technology and training, which ran offices in Montreal, Baltimore, London and Paris. Over the years, he has become a leader in the talent management field, helping organizations develop the competencies of their human capital.


Marcel Messier

President and Chief Operating Officer

President and COO of Technomedia since 2007, and prior was Chairman of the Board of Technomedia for ten years, Marcel Messier has successfully merged the two functions to create a significant contribution to the organization, as well as in the talent management industry.  Prior to his roles at Technomedia, Marcel Messier has had extensive careers in the telecom industry – with Bell Canada where he occupied various management positions including president of the outsourcing division. In addition, he was vice president of Bell Canada’s professional services organization for seven years, where he created new alliances and new services for the Internet market. Also active in the community, Messier is Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Center for the University of Montreal Campus.   


Gérard Duval

Vice President, Operations Manager

As an organization HR efficiency expert, Gerard has over 30 years of experience in various aspects of project management, notably in business transformation.

Former senior officer in the French Army (Major), he joined General Electric in 1996 as European program manager, where he contributed toward improving the effectiveness of the organization’s HR process across Europe by setting up shared service centers and aligning benefit policies. In 2002, Gerard successively took over the development of the Global compensation practice for France at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the HR Effectiveness practice for Europe at Hewitt Associates. He worked for various large companies around the world (France, Europe, USA, MEA, etc.)  such as Saint-Gobain, Lafarge, Merial, Societe Generale and Arcelor Mittal. 

Graduate from the Special Military Academy of Saint Cyr, Gerard also holds an MBA and a Master 2 in Human Resources. In addition, he is certified from the HEC Executive Coach - Organization program.
